iDanze Fitness combines a love for dance and a passion for fitness in an effort to support initiatives in the community!

Dance for your Heart is an annual charity fundraising event designed to raise awareness around the prevention of heart disease. Since 2013, this event has raised more than $8,500 dollars for charities including  Camp Comfort Zone, American Heart Association and 1 Step 2 Health foundation.  In 2019, iDanze Fitness will host the 6th annual Dance for your heart. Zumba for Venezuela - In a response to the unrest in her home country of Venezuela, fellow Zumba instructor Mary Dominguez hosted a fundraiser event to raise money for families in Venezuela. iDanze Fitness participated in this event along with several other beautiful instructors from the Zumba Community! The event raised $3000 that was used to send supplies and food to Venezuela. Great Job Mary!!

Women Take Charge was designed to encourage women to take action in regards to their health. In partnership with the Richmond Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated iDanze Fitness helped develop an event that targeted Women over 50 and Mothers with young daughters. Both activities provided information on heart health, nutritional guidance, hands on CPR demonstration, and of course Zumba!  Click here for highlights from the events:

In an effort to shake up the monotony of corporate conferences and meetings, iDanze Fitness created and led fitness breaks during several corporate conferences including:

       -  2017 Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada


       - 2015 & 2016 Virginia Department of Health Annual WIC conference

The work of a Zumba instructor is never done. In recognition of her work in the community, La Verne was awarded the Richmond Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. 2017 Community Service Award.
